Bronze statue of a boy playing the Lacrosse Ball game. The popularity of the Lacrosse Game is on the rise. Fact is that it is an ancient game, originating from the Native Americans and was played to rid warriors of aggression, frustration and was known for acting as conflict resolving. The game itself had a spiritual aspect to it and involved large groups of warriors up to a 1000 men. At Invesco Field in Denver, Colorado, on July 4th 2008, the Major League Lacrosse set the professional lacrosse attendance record when 20,116 fans attended a game.
